This is one of my favourite Malaysian cake/kueh.
Ingredients:
1 cup Vico (normally this recipe use Milo but I prefer Vico ^^)
1/4 cup Vochelle Cocoa Powder (you can use normal cocoa powder)
1/2 cup boiling water
190g, 3/4 cup Butter (Salted/Unsalted)
350g, 1/2 cup F & N Condensed Milk (other options; Nestle, Dutch Lady, Milkmaid, Carnation, etc)
3 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
300g Marie Biscuits or more to liking.
Prepare an 8inch square baking tray & layered with plastic wrap.
Break the Marie Biscuits to halves & halves again.
Boil water in a NON-STICK pan. Add in Vochelle Cocoa Powder & Vico,
stir until well combined. Mix in butter & stir until it melts completely.
Let it boil on a medium low fire.
F&N Condensed Milk
When the chocolate mixture starts boiling, add in condensed milk & stir.
Like so.
Stir until it becomes a thick sauce. Turn off the fire.
Add in Marie Biscuits & mix well until all the biscuits are covered with
chocolate mixture.
Like so.
Pour in the prepared baking tray. Spread & press down the mixture.
Cover the surface & chill it for a day or two.
The longer it chills, the easier to cut it.
Take it out the baking tray, cut & serve.
Sweet moist kek batik.
Finger licking good. Yum!!
